Street Work Supervisor

This course is aimed at anyone working in street works such as road works, underground services and reinstating materials. The objective of this course is to support a role in the workplace by confirming competence as a street works supervisor.

  • Location and avoidance of underground apparatus
  • Monitoring signing, lighting and guarding
  • Monitoring excavation in the highway.
  • Monitoring reinstatement and compaction of backfill materials
  • Monitoring reinstatement of sub-base and base in non-bituminous materials.
  • Monitoring reinstatement in bituminous materials.
  • Monitoring reinstatement of concrete slabs
  • Monitoring reinstatement of modularsurfaces and concrete footways.

Assessment

This is a blended of classroom and practical skills.

Each unit has a multiple choice test and observation that needs to be completed.
