Safeguarding
Cinders Training Commitment to Safeguarding
Cinder Training is dedicated to helping our learners live and study in a secure setting free from abuse, exploitation, and damage.
Our aim is to raise awareness of current safeguarding trends and themes and help you to keep yourself safe. Cinders Training Safeguarding Matters information leaflet provides links for support, contact details for the relevant safeguarding team here at Cinders Training and to help you report any concerns that you may have, or to guide you to the correct support networks.
Keeping Our Learners Safe
Cinders Training offer education and training, which places learners into employment. It is recognised that this creates a greater duty of care, and in order for Cinders Training to ensure that employers are suitable to receive a learner, a service level agreement is undertaken prior to learners commencing employment in order to clarify expectation in relation to basic health and safety, and employment requirements for the learner.
A risk assessment and health and safety check of employer’s site/s will be performed, and any issues actioned.
Health and safety vetting and monitoring is carried out during learner induction, this involves a discussion between the trainer, employer and learner and allows for the trainer to be confident in the employer’s ability to keep the apprentice safe during their employment and also to help educate the learner in looking after their own welfare and that of others while at work.
Learners, employer and staff are made aware of all Cinders Training relevant policies, who the designated persons are and how to report a concern during their induction to the programme. A direct email address to allow learners, employers and staff to access support from the designated safeguarding officer confidentially is provided to all learners.
